What is the best time to fish in Tamarindo, Costa Rica?
Tamarindo offers excellent fishing year-round. Peak sailfish and marlin season runs December through April with calm seas. May through November brings outstanding tuna, wahoo, and roosterfish action with fewer crowds and better rates. January through March is ideal for beginners thanks to calm conditions and consistent billfish action.
