What is the best time to fish in Tamarindo, Costa Rica?
Tamarindo offers excellent fishing year-round. Peak sailfish and marlin season runs December through April with calm seas. May through November brings outstanding tuna, wahoo, and roosterfish action with fewer crowds and better rates. January through March is ideal for beginners thanks to calm conditions and consistent billfish action.
How do I board the boat in Tamarindo?
Tamarindo has no formal marina. Our crew meets you on the beach and a water taxi (panga) takes you to your charter boat anchored in the bay. The ride is about 2 minutes. Wear sandals or water shoes — your feet will get wet!
